Create New Year’s Party Hats from Paper Plates
Supplies required:
- Paper plates
- Black acrylic paint
- Metallic markers
- Shiny poms
- Glue dots
- Clear tape
- Scissors
Start by painting the underside of a paper plate black.
The side that would usually face upward can remain unpainted. Allow the paint to fully dry.
After it has dried, slice the paper plate into two equal halves.
Sketch your New Year’s pattern onto the plate.
Next, curl the half paper plate around itself until it creates a pointed top.
Then, fasten it with clear tape.
To finish, attach a pom to the hat’s tip with a glue dot.
For a genuine party hat, punch a pair of holes along the bottom and tie on some elastic cord.
