Using only a handful of materials, you can turn toilet paper rolls into these charming bats. Display them throughout your home as Halloween decorations, or attach a piece of string so children can pretend they are flying.

Materials Required
- Paper – white cardstock plus purple or black cardstock
- Bat wing pattern – the pattern is available at the end of the post

How to Create a Halloween Paper Roll Bat
1. First, measure and trim a sheet of paper so it fits around your toilet paper roll.
2. Secure the paper around the roll with glue or tape.
Another option is to paint the paper roll in any shade you prefer.
3. Trim out the bat wings.
Trace the wings onto cardstock with our complimentary pattern, then cut them out. Attach them to the back of the paper roll using glue or tape.

4. Make 2 little triangles for the bat’s ears, then glue them onto the upper front portion of the roll.
5. Attach 2 googly eyes to create the bat’s eyes.
We chose two slightly varied sizes to give the bat a unique appearance, though any sizes you prefer will work!
6. Cut 2 white fangs from white paper or cardstock.
Like the eyes, we created the fangs in slightly different sizes, but you can make them any size you want!
7. Your toilet paper roll bats are complete!
Tie on some string so children can pretend the bats are flying, or display them by hanging them up!
