Making an Acorn Handprint
1. Begin by folding a sheet of light brown cardstock in half.
Outline the handprint with the thumb positioned along the folded edge. Cut out the shape.
It will now open like a card:

2. Use brown cardstock to cut out the acorn cap.
Trace around a circular object to create half of a circle. Be certain that the half circle is a little wider than the handprint.

3. Add diagonal lines across the acorn cap.
For this step, use a dark brown marker and a ruler.

4. Cut a stem from brown cardstock.
Attach the stem to the back of the acorn cap with glue.

5. Stick on 2 googly eyes.

6. Use a black marker to draw a smile, then add 2 pink-painted cheek marks.
Place the back of a pencil or paintbrush into pink paint, then gently dab it beside the mouth.

7. Add a note inside your card.
This makes an incredibly sweet autumn card for cheering someone up! It would also be a charming card for a teacher.
