Cupcake Liner Sheep Craft

It’s time to pull out the cupcake liners for our charming Cupcake Liner Sheep Craft! These cheerful sheep are a delightful spring or Easter project. You might even want to bake some cupcakes while you’re at it. Cupcakes are always a great idea.

Sheep crafts are always especially enjoyable. When covered in wool, sheep look so plump and fluffy. I adore how easily plain white cupcake liners become a soft, playful sheep with just a few additional materials.

Cupcake Liner Sheep Craft

To create our cupcake liner sheep, you will need white cupcake liners, cardstock in black along with your preferred background colors, a 2” circle paper punch, small googly eyes, white paint pen, markers in green and black, scissors, and a glue stick.

Sheep Cupcake Liner Craft Supplies Needed

  • White cupcake liners
  • Cardstock – black, plus your choice of background colors
  • White paint pen
  • Markers – green, black
  • 2” circle paper punch
  • Small googly eyes
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick

Cupcake Liner Sheep Craft Step by Step Directions

Start by selecting the cardstock color for your background. We used pink and orange for these examples, but any colors you prefer will work.

Next, take a white cupcake liner and smooth it flat. Apply glue to the liner’s center and attach it somewhere near the middle of the cardstock sheet. Leave the edges unglued.

After that, punch a circle out of the black paper with the 2” circle paper punch.

Attach the black circle to the front of the cupcake liner.

Place googly eyes on the black circle, then use the white paint pen to draw a simple mouth for the sheep.

Next, cut 4 little rectangles from the black paper. Attach these 4 rectangles beneath the cupcake liner to create the legs.

Use the black marker to sketch 2 floppy ears extending from both sides of the black circle.

To finish, draw tufts of grass around the sheep on the background cardstock using the green marker.

How adorable! We’re delighted with how these sheep turned out and hope you enjoy them just as much!
